RAMS is the fourth generation of a database management/integrated officeautomation system designed to manage the public resources of the UnitedStates. RAMS gives regulators (Federal, State, and other agencies) thetools to issue permits and track compliance. This totally automatedsystem accepts and validates data from clerical and professional staff,and automatically produces all correspondence, labels, permits, publicnotices, and management reports using any popular laser or dot matrixprinter. RAMS uses Informix as the database host and integrates any wordprocessor (selectable by each user). RAMS can dynamically createcustomer letters and correspondence without programming support. TheRAMS system operates in the UNIX environment with both networked and/orserial RS-232 terminals and workstations.
